CRISTAL  CRISTAL (Chemistry Resources & Instructional Strategies for Teaching All Learners) is a high school chemistry resource manual developed at Price Laboratory School by a group of Iowa's top chemistry teachers. The manual contains over 100 activities/labs and employs the learning cycle teaching strategy. Validity studies were conducted showing that the students in CRISTAL classrooms had greater gains in content and process skills than did students in more traditional chemistry courses and that teachers using the CRISTAL materials had a more positive attitude toward teaching chemistry than did teachers of more traditional chemistry. The program was validated by the National Diffusion Network.
