NSF Biotechnology Curriculum Development and Dissemenation  Project activities will: 1) Provide professional development opportunities for secondary and community college instructors through web-based seminars and a summer institute. 2) Prepare students pursing life or agricultural science degrees for a seamless transition through multiple levels of education (secondary to community college to university) and/or successfully enter a dynamic workforce. 3) Provide industry with a trained cadre of biotechnicians. Results will be used to further identify science technology advancements and assist with prioritizing biotechnology curriculum and expansion of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) enrollments, including preservice teachers.

Infinity Scholars Academic Competition Day  Recruitment activities for this scholarship program include a Math Day Competition for high school juniors and seniors.

Infinity Scholars (Scholarship program Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math students)  This project will annually provide up to $4,000 in financial assistance, academic support, and career exploration to 30 full-time STEM transfer and related career-focused degree program majors. Internships and job shadow experiences have historically been reserved for upper-level undergraduate and career-focused students. Local industry partners have eagerly embraced the potential employment pool to be available at the end of the first project year. In addition, alignment of curricular competencies and strengthening articulations with neighboring transfer universities.

Math and Science for Elementary Teachers  NIACC has created a Math for Elementary Teachers course and an Inquiry into Life Science course to strengthen the math and science skills of students preparing to teach the elementary level. The courses were developed with the help of a National Science Foundation grant, and they have been recognized by the NSF and Phi Theta Kappa as a "Best Practice in Teacher Education.
