STEPs to Bridge the Way  The STEPs to Bridge the Way grant team developed and implemented a cluster of strategies to realize the goal of increasing the number of students successfully completing STEM majors. The strategies have been implemented at three educational levels: secondary, community college, and transfer institutions. The continued success of the grant can be attributed to the implementation of three broad strategies: 1) greater teacher involvement in STEM major success; 2) improved support for STEM majors; 3) improved instructional support for STEM majors. As a result of the implementation of the three strategies, the following successes were realized: Articulated Programs of Study, Biology Readiness Exam Development and Implementation, Biotechnology Program Development, Career Pathway Advising Instruments, Improved Learning Technology, Improved STEM Career Awareness, Improved STEM Marketing Initiatives, NSF Technology Seminar, Professional STEM Tutoring, Scholarship Support, Summer Bridge Program, Summer Professional Development Workshops.
