Project AAIMS: Algebra Assessment and Instruction: Meeting Standards  Project AAIMS is focused on developing brief assessments for Algebra I that classroom teachers can use to monitor their students' progress in algebra learning across an entire course. The assessments are given frequently (i.e., weekly or twice each month) and students' scores are graphed to provide a visual representation of changes in performance. High school teachers (both general and special education) from three Iowa school districts have collaborated in Project AAIMS for the past three years, along with over 900 algebra students, both with and without disabilities.
