Environmental Issues Instruction (eii)  Environmental Issues Instruction is: - A process - Experiential teaching/learning - A model of thematic instruction - Teaching ecological concepts by integrating disciplines - Analysis of issues - Responsible environmental action The EII program provides in-service training of K-12 teachers, classroom and field application and evaluation. The program leads teachers to integrate science, math and other curricula by using the EII model. The EII units are taught as a demonstration of this integration. Teaching is approached in a collaborative setting with hands-on activities in cooperative groups. Ecological foundations are investigated, questioned and analyzed. Mathematical data is collected, quantified and interpreted.
