VAST Elementary Science Kit Workshops and Facilitator Training  Instructors at Malcolm Price Laboratory School, grades K-5, are participating in training workshops provided by the VAST Center Academy. These workshops are designed to provide the background needed to effectively implement the VAST elementary science kits. The workshops focus on the key concepts in each unit as well as provide hands-on experience with all unit activities. Follow-up sessions will train instructors to be facilitators. Facilitators will collaborate with the University of Northern Iowa Vast Satellite to provide outreach to area teacher needing kit training.
