| Brownfields Training and Job Development Programs |
This project will provide members of the Brownfields
communities with the knowledge and tools necessary to
undertake activities that will maximize environmental job
development, education, and employment opportunities for
residents living in those communities.

| Farming for Energy: The Harvest of the Heartland |
The Eastern Iowa Community College District will create
learning experiences around emerging energy practices to
educate all energy consumers. The goals include: 1) produce
a documentary on the need for energy sustainability and
renewable energy and examine the next generation of
technology to expand sustainable energies; 2) develop an
educational website and module for grades 6-8; 3) develop a
traveling museum exhibit; 4) incorporate the project into a
museum exhibit; 5) incorporate energy resources into the
ATEEC digital library; 6) energy content experts from
business and industry will present information for the
general public on renewable/sustainable topics at area
libraries.

| SEET Project: Sustainable Energy and Education Training Workshops for Future Energy Technicians |
This project will build the capacity of energy and environmental technicians to meet the challenges of sustainable energy in the 21st century through two ten-day intensive annual workshops at national laboratories for technology instructors at upper level high school and community college levels in the content areas of energy efficiency and energy conservation.

The Advanced Technology Environmental Education Center
(ATEEC) will: 1) expand ATEEC dissemination and availability
of exemplary educational materials, curricula, and
pedagogical practices in the areas of environmental and
sustainable energy technology; 2) expand the web-based,
digital electronic Environmental Resources Library to
include sustainable energy technology and expand the user
base; 3) provide professional development opportunities in
the area of environmental and energy technology to high
school and community college teachers.
