for a two-year liberal arts degree. Includes many lab-based
courses which enable students to apply what they learn in

| CSI Biotechnology Summer Camp |
This is a four day workshop for high school students who have completed at least one high school biology course. Students learn about forensic science by collecting and analyzing evidence from a fictitious crime scene. DNA fingerprinting, chemical analysis of a powder and fiber, blood, hair, and latent fingerprint analyses are part of the workshop.

| High School and Middle School Teacher Training in Biotechnology Through Project SEMI |
DMACC provides teacher training and support in biotechnology through workshop and advising activities. Workshops have been conducted in DNA gel electrophoresis and polymerase chain reaction. The skills support curricula developed specifically for Project SEMI.

| UNI Articulation in Biology and Biotechnology |
DMACC has a 2+2 articulation agreement with UNI. A student who completes a two year degree in biotechnology can transfer to UNI as a junior and be able to complete a degree in either biology or biotechnology in two years or less as a full time student.
