| Cognitively Guided Instruction (CGI) Professional Learning Community - Ames and Nevada, IA |
Teachers volunteered to partake in a professional learning
community organized by Dr. Jenna Seymour, Dr. Corey Drake,
and Veteran CGI teacher Deb Grummer. Members engaged in
activities similar to those who participated in Department
of Education CGI Summer Institutes. Organizers co-taught and
met with teachers throughout the school year in schools, and
across school meetings. AEA and Drake credit were offered at
minimum costs. Research data is being analyzed.
Collaborations continue and are expanding. Grant money is
being sought to expand the learning community.
