Iowa Electrathon  The Iowa Electrathon program and competitions involve high schools and colleges throughout Iowa and adjacent states in research, design, building, and racing Electrathon cars. These cars are one-person electric vehicles powered by batteries. Our goal is to bring attention to the environmental problems of conventional cars and to demonstrate the viability of electrics. The program encourages students to consider careers in science, engineering, and industrial technology.
