Iowa Junior Academy of Science  Membership in IJAS includes ability to participate in the Starr Student Research Grant Program, science mentors, visiting scientist program, Outstanding Science Student Award, and Iowa Academy of Science IJAS Competition. Tips and support for individual research projects, presentation, meeting judges, etc. School and individual memberships.

Iowa Science Teachers' Section Fall Conference  The Iowa Science Teachers' Section (ISTS) Fall Conference is a day of professional development opportunities for all Iowa science educators. Held annually on or about the 3rd Thursday in October. Activities include keynote speaker, exhibit hall and over 100 presentations.

Project WET - Water Education for Teachers  Project WET is an educator professional development program. Workshops range from 3-16 hours on all water issues including water resource management, water quality, physical & chemical properties of water, social and economic issues. Current funding allows for free workshops for preservice educators. Additional custom workshops available.

Starr Student Research Grants  Annually awards grants of up to $200 each for individual student research. Applicants or their schools must belong to the Iowa Junior Academy of Science. Applicants must be between 6th and 12th grade and engaged in individual or paired student research that will be presented at a regional or state science fair.

The GLOBE Program (Iowa)  GLOBE is a partnership between teachers, students, and scientists in 111 countries to learn about the Earth's air, soil, water, land cover, seasons, and carbon through inquiry based classroom activities and collaboration.
