Career Academies  IVCCD offers career academies at MCC, ECC, and Grinnell to stimulate high school student career exploration and gain college credits. In particular, at ECC, both an Agriculture and a Biotechnology Career Academy are offered, and at MCC, an Entrepreneurial and Diversified Agriculture Career Academy are offered. A Health Occupations Career Academy is also offered district-wide. Math and science courses are a part of the general education requirements for these career academies.

First Lego League (FLL)  Introduces middle school students in our district to the fun and experience of solving real-world problems by applying math, science, and technology at MCC. Guided by adult IVCCD and other mentors and their own imaginations, FLL students solve real-world engineering challenges, develop important life skills, and learn to make positive contributions to society.
