Educational Outreach Programs to K-12 schools and business/industry  Activities offered to local middle and high school classes including presentations such as DNA extraction, finger printing, bioethics, and careers in biotechnology. Outreach to educators including workshops in Biotechnology, Biotechnology & Bioethics, Forensics for the Middle School and Junior High School Teacher, Forensics for the High School Teacher, General Chemistry and General Biology. Also develop and deliver training to business and industry in areas such as basic virology, basic chemistry, basic microbiology, lab techniques, and fermentation for ethanol production.

Engineering Transfer Program  NCC offers two-year technology programs (Computerized Manufacturing Technology, Industrial Instrumentation & Control Technology and Electrical Technology) that prepare students to transfer and earn a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Technology through Dordt College in two additional years of study. This is a cooperative 2+2 program.

Lab Technician Program for Bioscience/Biotechnology Careers  NCC has developed an A.A.S. Biotechnology Lab Technician program designed to meet the increasing demands of businesses and industries seeking skilled lab technicians for employment in laboratory and industrial settings and as quality control/quality assurance technicians. Students who complete the program will possess the necessary skills to work in laboratories in a variety of biotechnology fields, or have the option of transferring to a 4-year program.
